What a cool way for the head Razorback to rub elbows.
Arkansas coach Bret Bielema and his wife, Jen, made a few fans’ day by hanging out with them after the Razorbacks’ season-opening victory over Louisiana Tech on Saturday.
Stephanie Sharp of KARK 4 News shared the photos below of fans who welcomed their famous guest to their postgame party. Kudos to Bielema for this simple act you don’t hear about often. (Get on this, coaches across America.)
On Monday, Bielema spoke about the experience at his news conference, as heard by SEC Country’s Jason Kersey.
“That’s called listening to your wife,” Bielema said. “Driving home I was kinda in my own little world and she was talking and she’s like, ‘Oh, look at these people.’ We’re just like every other human being, we love to have a good time and tailgate. I feel bad that house, it’s at the T and I drive by it so many times and my lights are always shining in their house. I always say, ‘Man, I’ve got to make those people mad.’ Because like last night I’m driving home it’s like 12:30, they weren’t out there last night and I wasn’t gonna stop, but that’s really the only reason I stopped. It was kind of fun to see their reaction. At least they weren’t throwing anything at us.”

Jen enjoyed the experience:
All in attendance were some of the sweetest Hog fans ever! And it was fun to kinda crash their post game tailgate. ? https://t.co/M9ywM885Y5
