FAYETTEVILLE Ark. — Speculation about when defensive end commit Michael Taylor would be able to join the Arkansas program didn’t last long.
Taylor, a 6-foot-3, 248-pound prospect from Riverside (Calif.) City College announced his commitment Friday to the Razorbacks after an official visit to the campus.
However, his status for the 2016 seasons was still up in the air because some of his course work needing to be cleared through the proper channels. That issue has been resolved, because Arkansas announced the addition of Taylor to the 2016 signing class Friday.

Taylor can play immediately with three years of eligibility. He had 50 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss and four sacks as a freshman at Riverside C.C. last season.
“We’re very excited to add Michael to our 2016 signing class,” Arkansas coach Bret Bielema said in a statement released by the school. “He’ll be here early next week and will be full-go for fall camp. We expect big things and a great career for Michael here at Arkansas.”
