Dolphins DT Ndamukong Suh has a long history of animosity that’s resulted in him being fined countless times and also being suspended. He was in the middle of multiple quarrels on Thursday night, one including former Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett.
Things were chippy throughout the game between the Ravens and Dolphins, especially when Baltimore QB Joe Flacco was knocked out of the game late in the second quarter after suffering a concussion at the hands of LB Kiko Alonso.
The tension from that play carried through the rest of the game and hit its peak in the middle of the fourth quarter after Suh gave Mallett a late shove after the whistle.
Maybe taking exception to the Ravens knocking on the door for a late touchdown while already up 26-0, Suh pushed Mallett, who got in Suh’s face over it. Suh then grabbed Mallett by the throat before a fistfight broke out between opposing linemen.
The first skirmish between the two teams occurred shortly before halftime and involved Baltimore’s franchise QB when Alonso laid a hard shoulder-to-helmet hit on Flacco, who was doing a QB slide right near the first down marker.
A dazed Flacco ended up with a concussion and a bloody ear that forced him to miss the rest of the game.
