Former Arkansas running back Jonathan Williams was arrested on Thursday morning.
The fifth round selection of the Buffalo Bills was charged with a DWI for driving while intoxicated, according to a report from KNWA.
The report indicates that Williams was pulled over for a traffic stop in Fayetteville, when officers observed “red watery eyes and slurred speech.”
The officer asked Williams to leave the car to take standard field sobriety tests. Upon getting out of the car, police say Williams had a strong odor of intoxicants on his breath and swaying balance.
He was reportedly booked at Washington County Detention Center and was released at 5:30 a.m. on Thursday morning.
After deciding to return to Arkansas for his senior season in 2015, Williams missed the entire season due to a preseason foot injury.
Williams rushed for 1,190 yards and 11 touchdowns during a productive 2014 season with the Razorbacks.
