Before the Belk Bowl, Arkansas coach Bret Bielema announced that backup quarterback Ricky Town would be leaving the program for a junior college.
It seems that Town has found his destination. According to Andrew Hutchinson of 247Sports, Town will be headed to Ventura College.
It’s the second transfer for the former 4-star prospect, who originally committed to USC in the class of 2015. An early enrollee with the Trojans, Town didn’t even make it to the start of football season before deciding to leave. He enrolled at Arkansas in August 2015 and redshirted that season, but never appeared in a game for the Razorbacks in 2016 and was not listed on the depth chart throughout the season.
Town will have two years of eligibility left when he returns to the Division I ranks after the 2017 season.
