If you’re an Arkansas fan, it’d be hard not to be happy with what the SEC Network predicted on Monday evening.
As a part of its preseason coverage, the network had studio hosts Greg McElroy and Clint Stoerner go through the 2016 Razorbacks football schedule game-by-game to make predictions.
The former Alabama quarterback and former Arkansas quarterback settled on a very nice season for the Razorbacks, predicting a 9-3 record, including a stunning victory against Alabama on Oct. 8 in Fayetteville.
Here’s a look at the complete breakdown of their picks:
Overall record: 9-3 (6-2, SEC)
Sept. 3 vs. Louisiana Tech– Win
Sept. 10 at TCU– Loss
Sept. 17 vs. Texas State– Win
Sept. 24 at Texas A&M– Loss
Oct. 1 vs. Alcorn State– Win
Oct. 8 vs. Alabama– Win
Oct. 15 vs. Ole Miss– Win
Oct. 22 at Auburn– Win
Nov. 5 vs. Florida– Win
Nov. 12 vs. LSU– Loss

Given that the Razorbacks will be breaking in a new quarterback and transitioning from the Alex Collins/Jonathan Williams era in the running game, a 9-3 record would seem to be a very successful season for Bret Bielema’s squad.
While only Alabama has also been completed in the series of predictions for all 14 league schools, it is safe to assume that a 6-2 conference record would put the Razorbacks in pretty good shape in a brutal SEC West Division which had all seven teams bowl eligible in 2015. The loss to the Razorbacks was the only defeat the analysts predicted for the Crimson Tide, which has a projected record of 11-1.
