FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Trace Oldner, a 2018 offensive line prospect from Katy (Texas) High School, currently has his sights set on Arkansas.
On Sunday, the 6-foot-5, 280-pound Oldner told SEC Country the Razorbacks are sitting at the top of his wish list.
“I came to camp here last summer and liked it a lot,” said Oldner, who is in Fayetteville attending Arkansas’ high school camp this week. “I just wanted to get back up here again. I have a lot of family in the state.
“Right now, Arkansas is the favorite for me.”
Indiana is currently the only FBS school to offer a scholarship to Oldner. An offer from the Razorbacks is expected to be imminent. According to 247Sports, he also is receiving interest from Texas A&M.
Oldner’s father is from Dumas, Ark., a small town in the southeastern part of the state.
Oldner is attending his final camp of the summer this week after already taking part in camps hosted by Rivals.com, LSU, Texas A&M and others. He is rated as a 3-star prospect by 247Sports.
“For this summer, thinking about (the college choice) is a high priority,” Oldner said. “But once this is over I’ll be ready to get fully focused on the season this fall.”
