Mbanasor reportedly will announce Tuesday
Hendrickson (Pflugerville, Texas) High School 2017 defensive end Nelson Mbanasor is planning to announce his commitment Tuesday, according to a report from Scout.com’s Gabe Brooks.
Mbanasor (6-foot-3, 270 pounds) is one of Arkansas’ top uncommitted targets in the class. The 3-star recruit is choosing between the Hogs, Illinois and Texas Tech. He took an official visit to all three schools in October.
Arkansas is pushing hard for its next defensive line commit in the 2017 class. Katy (Texas) High School 3-star defensive end Ryder Anderson is the only defensive lineman among the 19 commits. The Hogs likely will look to add a couple other defensive linemen in the class depending on which players they can get.
Mbanasor had been committed previously to Oklahoma State before announcing his de-commitment just one day after visiting Fayetteville in early October. His older brother, P.J. Mbanasor, is a sophomore cornerback at Oklahoma.

WR commit Jackson scores in a variety of ways
Joe T. Robinson (Little Rock, Ark.) High School wide receiver Koilan Jackson asserted himself as the best talent on the field as he led Robinson to a 42-7 win over Ashdown (Ark.) High School last Friday. The game featured some of the top in-state talent.
Jackson had a receiving, rushing and passing touchdown and 175 total yards. The 3-star recruit is among the most-likely 2017 commits to make an immediate impact at Arkansas next season. One of the others shared the field with Jackson on Friday — Ashdown 4-star defensive back Montaric Brown.
Robinson athlete Nathan Page, a 4-star 2018 prospect, also had a big game with 8 catches for 110 yards and a touchdown at wide receiver.
Arkansas tight ends coach Barry Lunney Jr. was on hand to watch the game.
QB commit Noland remains efficient for Greenwood
Arkansas 2018 quarterback commit Connor Noland had one of the best games of his career at Greenwood (Ark.) High School last week.
The 4-star recruit completed 22 of his 26 pass attempts for 278 yards and 4 total touchdowns — 3 passing and 1 rushing — as he helped Greenwood stay undefeated with a 52-13 win over Sheridan (Ark.) High School.
Noland has completed 68.8 percent of his passes for 1,353 yards and 12 touchdowns with only 1 interception through nine games this season. He’s also rushed for 434 yards and 6 touchdowns. He has just one turnover in 233 combined passing and rushing attempts.
ATH commit Warren goes over 1,000 rushing yards
Arkansas 2017 athlete commit Devion Warren pushed his rushing total to 1,057 yards with a 221-yard performance last Friday, according to the News Star of Monroe, La.
Warren, a 3-star prospect, plays quarterback for Ouachita Parish (Monroe, La.) High School and is expected to play wide receiver at Arkansas. He also scored 4 touchdowns on his 27 carries Friday and now has 21 rushing touchdowns through eight games this season.
