Hogs offer 4-star Los Angeles linebacker
Arkansas has clear needs at linebacker and the Hogs are pushing to fill those as soon as possible.
Salesian (Los Angeles) High School 2017 outside linebacker Rahyme Johnson received an offer from Arkansas on Monday. A 4-star prospect, Johnson (6-foot-4, 210 pounds) has reported offers from 15 Power 5 conference programs and has already visited Nebraska and Texas A&M. He has a team-high 58 tackles for Salesian so far this season.

The Hogs are also continuing a strong push for 2017 Spanish Fort (Ala.) High School outside linebacker Thomas Johnston (6-2, 215). The 3-star prospect visited Fayetteville for Arkansas’ win over Ole Miss earlier this season and holds the Hogs in high regard.
Senior middle linebacker Brooks Ellis needs to be replaced after this season. Other than currently injured sophomore outside linebacker Dre Greenlaw, Ellis has been the Razorbacks’ only linebacker playing regularly the past two seasons. True freshman De’Jon Harris has played some this season, and by all accounts has a bright future, but the Hogs clearly know help is needed in this class.
Florida CB to visit Arkansas for Florida game
Byron Jamar Terry, an Eagles Landing Christian Academy (McDonough, Ga.) 2017 cornerback, has announced he will visit Arkansas for the Hogs’ Nov. 5 matchup with Florida.
Terry (5-10, 160) is an unrated prospect and likely a potential preferred walk-on candidate. He has already visited Florida for a game earlier this season.

TE target Tennison commits to Alabama
Bullard (Texas) High School 2017 tight end Major Tennison announced his commitment to Alabama on Sunday.
The 3-star prospect, who has an offer from Arkansas, is considered one of several prospects at the position the Hogs would like to have in the 2017 class. They are also pursuing Arizona Western College 4-star prospect Jeremy Patton, who was previously committed to Texas.
At this point, adding another tight end in 2017 is more of a luxury than a necessity. Arkansas currently has 19 total commits in the class.
