It’s a form of protest that has spread through the sports world ever since San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick first did it in the NFL preseason.
Players in many sports are taking a knee during the national anthem. Kaepernick began the method of protesting in hopes to improve social justice and racial equality in the country.
On Thursday, several Arkansas women’s basketball players took a knee during the national anthem, while in between several of their teammates. Watch the protest below:

The Razorbacks played a home exhibition game against Oklahoma Baptist.
