One of the nation’s top receivers will make a swing through Alabama to visit Iron Bowl rivals this month.
Tyjon Lindsey, a 5-star prospect, has set unofficial visits to Alabama (July 15-16) and Auburn (July 17-18). The travels will follow his participation in The Opening Finals this week in Oregon.
Lindsey is being heavily recruited by several elite programs, but experts list him as a heavy favorite to land at Ohio State, according to 247Sports’ crystal ball projections.
The Corona, Calif., native is rated the nation’s fourth-best receiver in the Class of 2017. Twenty-three schools have offered him a scholarship.
Alabama’s Lane Kiffin and Tosh Lupoi are recruiting him, while Auburn’s Rhett Lashlee and Kodi Burns handle the Tigers’ efforts.
The 5-foot-8, 180-pound receiver is scheduled to announce his commitment to a school Aug. 22. Nebraska, Notre Dame and USC are also listed among the top schools he is considering.
