They say numbers never lie. And if that’s the case, then Auburn might be a top-10 team.
ESPN‘s Football power index, USA Today’s Sagarin Ratings and Football Outsiders‘ S&P+ all have Auburn ranked in the top 10 of their rankings. All three services have the Tigers ranked as the No. 7 team in the nation and the No. 2 SEC, just behind Alabama.
Auburn is coming off a 56-3 thrashing of Arkansas. The Tigers ran for over 500 yards in the game and limited an Arkansas offense that scored 30-plus points against Ole Miss and Arkansas.
The Tigers take on Ole Miss this Saturday and look to push their winning streak to five games. The Tigers are 5-2 on the season with the two losses coming against Clemson and Texas A&M, two other teams that are highly ranked by various services.
Auburn and Ole Miss kickoff at 7:15 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
