After the late season run by Gus Malzahn’s team, many Auburn fans were hoping that the last game of the season for the Tigers would be in Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Jan. 8 in the College Football Playoff Championship Game.
Unfortunately for Tigers fans, Auburn will be playing in the stadium but in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl against UCF instead.
To thank the Auburn students for their support throughout the season, athletic director Jay Jacobs announced on Wednesday that the university has bought 750 extra tickets for the students after selling out the allotment of 500 that the bowl originally gave the school.
In appreciation for the huge role @AuburnU students play in the success of @AuburnFootball, we wanted to make sure every Auburn student who wants to support our team in the @CFAPeachBowl will be able to do so. Thank you, students!#WarEaglehttps://t.co/8OPbEH43OZ

This will be Jacobs’ last bowl game in charge of the Auburn athletic department as he announced he would resign on June 1, 2008 after leading the Tigers since 2004.
