A week before the Iron Bowl in 2019, Auburn will have a non-conference tune-up. The Tigers announced they have added a matchup with Samford to their 2019 schedule.
Auburn will host the Bulldogs on Nov. 23, 2019, at Jordan-Hare Stadium, just seven days before its marquee matchup with Alabama.

The Tigers have two other non-conference matchups already on their 2019 schedule — a season-opening game against Oregon on Aug. 31 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas and a home contest against Tulane the following week.
Auburn last faced Samford, an FCS team that plays in the Southern Conference, in 2014, which the Tigers won, 31-7. Auburn owns a 27-0-1 record in the all-time series against the Bulldogs.
