After handing Alabama a loss in the Capital City Classic at the end of March, Auburn will face the Crimson Tide in a three-game series in Tuscaloosa this weekend.
Although the Tigers have enjoyed success against their in-state rival, Alabama holds a 161-129 advantage in the all-time series. A series win this weekend will be Auburn’s first since 2011 and first in Tuscaloosa since ’04.

- Casey Mize was named to the USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award midseason watch list for the second straight season. He’s only walked 4 batters this season and leads the nation in strikeout-to-walk ratio (21.50) for the second straight year.
- Mize will make the start for Auburn on Friday evening. The junior has totaled 86 strikeouts through 63 innings pitched and compiled a 2.00 ERA. Freshman Tanner Burns will toe the rubber first on Saturday and the Sunday pitcher is still to be announced.
