It’s no secret that there’s no love lost between Alabama and Auburn on the gridiron, but the rivalry extends fiercely to any sport the two match up in.
And when one team is able to run the other off the floor — like Auburn did to the Tide on Wednesday night in a 90-71 victory — expect the winning team to get a little extra enjoyment out of the victory.
That’s exactly what Auburn’s social media department did on Friday afternoon, as they pushed out a hype video from the win that featured the caption “Unbuckled.” It’s a reference to Alabama’s season-long mantra, #BuckleUp.
That’s not only a solid way to troll your most heated rival, but the video itself is pretty cool, too:

Auburn got the blowout win despite being shorthanded against the Crimson Tide. The Tigers had just seven scholarship players available due to injuries and other issues.
After the game, which essentially clinched the regular season SEC title, coach Bruce Pearl seemed to be in awe at what his team was able to accomplish.
“It’s just special,” Pearl told reporters. “It’s special beyond compare. This team is trying to make history. We have a long way to go, but I can’t deny that what we are seeing is rare. That combination of grit and determination, resiliency, family — it’s all right here.”
The Tigers have a two-game lead on Tennessee for first place in the SEC with three contests still to play. Auburn defeated the Vols in Knoxville 94-84 in their only matchup this season. With one win in its final three games, Auburn can clinch at least a share of the regular season conference title.
Auburn closes at Florida, at Arkansas and vs South Carolina. The Tigers are currently 12-3 in SEC play.
