Several members of the Auburn coaching staff will begin hitting the road on Thursday with the recruiting dead period now at a close.
Newly hired defensive coordinator Kevin Steele is expected to visit with fringe commit David Marshall. The three-star defensive end recently told SEC Country that he is on the fence with his commitment to the Tigers. He is slated to officially visit Auburn this weekend. Steele will round out the day with a trip to Gordo, Ala., to check in with five-star inside linebacker Ben Davis, whom he’s recruited as far back as his time with Alabama.
Come Friday, he will be in Asheboro, N.C., to visit with four-star defensive end Nick Coe, per 247Sports.com’s Keith Niebuhr. Coe recently picked up an offer from Alabama.
Co-offensive coordinator Dameyune Craig and running backs coach Tim Horton will check in with four-star receiver Nate Craig-Myers, the uncommitted prospect out of Tampa, Fla., on Thursday. The one-time Tigers commit is scheduled to officially visit Auburn on Jan. 15.
Newly hired offensive line coach Herb Hand is set to visit with four-star offensive tackle Brodarious Hamm on Friday. Back in November, Hamm told SEC Country he was being recruited aggressively by Florida and offensive line coach Mike Summers.
