The Auburn football team hit the bowling alley Wednesday, and one Tiger had a spare for the ages.
Linebacker Deshaun Davis took down eight pins on his first throw. But instead of using a traditional approach to pick up an easy spare, he got into a center’s stance and “hiked” the ball down the lane.
And he got it.

Bowling is apparently head coach Gus Malzahn’s favorite activity. Auburn RB Kerryon Johnson told 247Sports’ Ryan Black that Malzahn is easily the best bowler on the team.
But it was Davis who had the highlight of night. Malzahn will certainly be hoping Davis can make some more great plays the next time Auburn goes bowling (against Oklahoma).
Auburn football shared some more from the team’s bowling night as well:
