AUBURN, Ala. — Two-thirds of Auburn football’s field goal unit will get to play on the same squad one more time after the Peach Bowl.
Auburn kicker Daniel Carlson and long snapper Ike Powell have both been selected to play in the 2018 Senior Bowl next month. The annual NFL draft showcase of college veterans will take place Jan. 27 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala.
Auburn running backs coach and special teams coordinator Tim Horton tweeted the news Friday afternoon.

Together, Carlson and Powell have started each game for Auburn since the start of the 2015 season. This year, they combined for a mark of 21 for 28 on field goals a perfect 54 for 54 on extra points.
Carlson was a finalist for the Lou Groza Award but lost out Thursday night to Utah kicker Matt Gay. The Colorado native was the first three-time finalist in the award’s history.
