The country’s best kicker

There have been a few kicks that Daniel Carlson would like to have back from this year, but overall the senior has been well, himself.

Carlson was named a midseason All-American by CBS Sports on Wednesday, which is just another nod from another media outlet that confirms Legatron is one of the best football players in the nation.

A day in Music City

Auburn basketball players haven’t been available to media this fall, but members of Bruce Pearl’s team did partake in media day on Wednesday.

As usual, the events of the day unfolded in Nashville, Tenn., and it was a success despite a scandal that has rocked college basketball.

The Tigers were represented by juniors Bryce Brown and Horace Spencer, both of whom will be important players for Auburn this season.

Check out some of the sights from the day.

That wasn’t the only good that happened to Auburn basketball on Thursday. Freshman Chuma Okeke was dubbed as one of the top 20-under-the-radar newcomers for the 2017-18 season.

Okeke would have had a good chance of making the U-19 U.S. team that competed at the FIBA World Cup last summer, but was forced to leave early after a knee injury.

Still, it should be a big year for the Georgia youngster.
