Another preseason ranking
Sports Illustrated thinks Alabama is the No. 1 team in the country according to its Top 25 preseason rankings, but Auburn also received good news on Wednesday.
The Tigers were ranked No. 10 in the preseason poll and the magazine also said Gus Malzahn’s team (along with LSU) has the best chances of taking down the Crimson Tide.

A good day overseas
A quick visit to the Coliseum and a big win over the opponent in Rome. That’s how Auburn basketball spent its Wednesday.
Though the Tigers aren’t live-streaming any games, highlights were on Twitter thanks to the official Auburn basketball account.

Newly-eligible Desean Murray and Mustapha Heron scored 13 points each and Bryce Brown added 12 points. Also notching double-digits were Malik Dunbar (11 points) and Danjel Purifoy, who scored 10 points and added 7 rebounds.
The 58-point loss to Auburn by Stella Azzura comes a week after Kansas beat them 90-56.
The next stop for the Tigers is Florence, where Auburn meets Lithuania’s BC Silute on Friday at 11:30 a.m. CT. You can’t see any of the action, but you can get updates on Twitter.
