John Franklin III got the start for the Auburn Tigers on Saturday. And despite not playing in the second half, he still had the better grade.
Per Pro Football Focus, Franklin graded out at a 66.1, just edging out Sean White, who played the second half and led the Tigers to a 23-16 win over Vanderbilt. White finished with a 65.9 grade. White had 103 passing yards on 13 attempts and a touchdown, while Franklin had just 9 yards on 4 attempts.
Franklin did run for 57 yards on 9 carries. The Auburn offense scored 13 points with White at the helm, after scoring just 10 in the first half with Franklin. White did not start due to an undisclosed injury.
Auburn takes on Georgia next week. The Tigers will be looking for their first win in Athens since 2005. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
