AUBURN, Ala. — After three tough games in four weeks, Auburn football should enter its postseason matchup against UCF in the Peach Bowl as a comfortable favorite.
According to Vegas Insider, Auburn opened the week as a 10-point favorite over UCF. The Tigers (10-3) will return to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta after their SEC championship game loss.
UCF (12-0) is the only undefeated team left in the FBS after winning a high-scoring AAC title game to clinch the Group of 5 conferences’ berth in the New Year’s Six bowls.
Auburn finished the regular season with a 5-5-3 record against the spread, per Odds Shark. UCF went 7-4-1 but failed to cover in three of its last five wins.
Auburn is 3-0 all-time against UCF, as the Tigers pulled off three straight home wins over the Knights from 1997 to 1999.
The Peach Bowl will kick off at 12:30 p.m. ET/11:30 a.m. CT on New Year’s Day. It will be televised on ESPN.
