AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn forward Horace Spencer recently underwent knee surgery to repair his left knee, coach Bruce Pearl tells SEC Country.
Spencer had the meniscus in his left knee repaired and is out the next eight to 10 weeks.
Spencer (6-foot-9, 220 pounds) averaged 5.1 points, 2.1 blocks and 4.9 rebounds while playing 18 minutes per game as a freshman last season. His knack for blocking shots also coincided with growing pains on defense, resulting in foul trouble (3.7 per game).
He is expected to start at center for the Tigers in 2016-17. The Tigers are in the middle of summer practices on campus.
