Deon Mix, a senior offensive lineman graduating from Auburn this spring, will play his final year of eligibility at the University of Houston.
Mix announced his decision on Twitter Thursday evening.

The date referenced in the Tweet is of course the opening Saturday of the college football season.
Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn announced in February that Mix, along with fellow graduating senior Cameron Toney, were no longer with the Tigers as they prepared to start spring practice.
Mix, who was a part of Malzahn’s first recruiting class as head coach, played sparingly during his career at Auburn. He made three appearances in games in 2016, playing both guard and tackle.
As a graduate transfer, Mix will be eligible to play immediately for the Cougars.
