AUBURN, Alabama — Auburn is still finalizing plans for its satellite camp tour, but we now know of at least two dates and locations on the docket less than one week after the NCAA lifted its ban on camps.
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College announced Auburn coaches will participate in its Elite Football Camp in Perkiston, Mississippi on June 3. The news comes on the heels of the announcement Tigers coaches would also participate in the Georgia Minority Coaches Association’s camp June 9. SEC teams scheduled to send coaches to that camp include Auburn, Georgia, Mississippi State, Missouri and South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas A&M.
The camp at MGCCC will include coaches from Auburn, LSU, Missouri and Ole Miss.
Auburn coach Gus Malzahn has not yet decided if he will appear at a satellite camp.
Auburn is still eyeing camps in Tampa and Miami, according to a person familiar with the process.
MGCCC has provided a wealth of talent to Auburn over the years, including ex-Auburn receiver Duke Williams, who was rated the nation’s No. 1 prospect in 2014.
