Auburn men’s basketball has lifted the suspensions for Horace Spencer and Bryce Brown.
The two players will travel with the team on its upcoming road trip to Connecticut, head coach Bruce Pearl said, according to SEC Country’s Lauren Shute, but whether they will play “is still to be determined.”
“They’re off suspension,” Pearl said. “My own just being away from the team, they’ve served that and now when they come — but when they do come back, their roles are going to be different.”
Pearl suspended Spencer and Brown after both were arrested on charges of misdemeanor marijuana possession. He didn’t give a time frame for how long the suspension would last.
Both underclassmen had been playing with the starting unit before their suspensions.
The players missed the team’s past two games against Coastal Carolina and Mercer. Auburn’s next game is against Oklahoma in Uncasville, Conn. on Wednesday as part of the Basketball Hall of Fame’s Birthday of Basketball event.
