AUBURN, Ala. — Saturday will be a big recruiting day for Auburn on the Plains, but it started out on a rocky note.
The Tigers lost one of their two commitments from the class of 2018 when 3-star defensive end Robert Hicks announced his intentions via Twitter. Hicks, from Booker T. Washington (Miami), committed to Auburn on March 1.

As of Friday, Hicks still planned to attend the Auburn-Clemson game at Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday night.
The Hicks de-commitment makes 4-star dual-threat quarterback Joey Gatweood from Bartram Trail (Jacksonville, Fla.) the only commit in the 2018 class.
Auburn’s 2018 class is ranked 16th in the national rankings.
