The last time Auburn and Louisiana-Monroe met on the football field, the two programs were headed in two totally different directions.
Auburn almost lost to ULM in 2012 in an overtime contest en route to a 3-9 season. That year, ULM knocked off a Top 10 Arkansas team and went to its first-ever bowl game. But since then, things have changed for the Tigers (2-2, 1-1 SEC) and the Warhawks (1-2, 0-1 Sun Belt).
Now Gus Malzahn will get his first swing at ULM as an Auburn head coach after getting a much-needed win over LSU last weekend. Matt Viator will enter his fourth game as the Warhawks’ head man, looking to pull off the major upset.
