AUBURN, Ala. — Only one hand is needed for the countdown to National Signing Day.
Auburn’s work isn’t finished. The Tigers have 19 commitments in the 2017 class. They’d like to get as close to 25 as possible, though the staff has shown through its recruiting efforts it won’t hand out an offer just for the sake of filling spots.
There were five official visitors on campus for the last weekend of the recruiting cycle.
The four original names — Markaviest Bryant, John Samuel Shenker, Matthew Tanner and Louisville commit Kemari Averett — made the trip. A surprise fifth official visitor Tyrone Truesdell also officially visited this weekend.
Auburn commit Bill Taylor took an unofficial visit as a way to maintain his potential blue-shirt status throughout his first year on campus.
On top of all that, the Tigers hosted a mega Junior Day on Saturday, which had positive reviews from the 2018 class members.
