Thoughts of a Georgia fan
Auburn fans may have been celebrating the commitment of Tyler Fromm last week, but what were Georgia fans thinking as their star quarterback’s little brother chose to attend school elsewhere?
Well, DawgNation’s Chip Towers offered some insight into the family dynamic on Wednesday afternoon. Family is a funny thing, especially when it comes to SEC football.
Brothers who end up on the same team or on the opposite sides of rivalries typically find themselves in the spotlight. It’s just an interesting story — and the Fromm family is no exception. What’s perhaps most interesting about these two brothers, however, is that Jake produced a freshman season most college athletes dream about. Tyler may not jump into the college football world with as big of a splash, but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t end up being a top tight end for Auburn at some point. Towers offers a little more information on the matter here:

Women’s golf going to Stillwater
The No. 19 Auburn women’s golf team tied for third place at the NCAA Austin Regional on Wednesday, earning a berth in the NCAA Championships in Stillwater, Okla., starting Friday, May 18.
The Tigers shot a 2-under-par 286 as a team in Texas, finishing at 5-over 869 for the week. To make the cut, four players scored final rounds of even par or better. Now, Auburn is making its 17th all-time appearance in the NCAA Championships, but its first since 2013.
Arkansas, Texas, Florida, Baylor and Oklahoma are the six teams advancing from the Austin Regional. The Razorbacks won the regional title (26 under).

SEC Tournament disappointment
Auburn softball started well in Missouri on Wednesday but ultimately came up short against Alabama in the opening round of the SEC Tournament.
For an in-depth look at the Wednesday evening rivalry game, check out Justin Ferguson’s post here.
As disappointing as the loss was, it doesn’t mean that Auburn is done just yet. The Tigers probably won’t host a regional, but they likely will receive another chance to play next week. Stay tuned for details.
