Auburn’s women’s softball program is playing for its first-ever national championship this week, and the Tigers are throwing a viewing party on their home field so fans can be together to watch it.
The university announced Sunday that Jane B. Moore Field will be the site of a watch party for Auburn’s championship series against Oklahoma.
It’s a best-of-three format that is slated to begin on Monday at 8 p.m., followed by a game on Tuesday (8 p.m.) and a third game, if necessary, on Wednesday (8 p.m.). All games will be televised on ESPN.
Auburn’s watch party will have free admission, free parking, concessions will be available, and the game will be shown on the softball video board. Parking opens two hours prior to first pitch, but the gates will only open 45 minutes prior to the beginning of the game.
The Tigers advanced to the title game with a thrilling 8-7 win against Florida State on Sunday. Oklahoma eliminated LSU on its way to the title game.
