With Auburn having the weekend off, Gus Malzahn and his staff had the opportunity to check out some of the country’s top recruits.
Malzahn was at Gainesville High School (Gainesville, Ga.) to watch it take on Lanier, the school of Georgia’s No. 1 prospect, 5-star defensive tackle Derrick Brown. Earlier in the day, Malzahn stopped by Central Gwinnett High School to see 4-star offensive lineman Tony Gray. Here was Malzahn’s message.
Brown is considering UGA, Auburn, Tennessee, among others.
In a recent interview with the AJC’s DawgNation.com, Brown said his recruitment was wide open and one school doesn’t hold any advantages over another.
The 5-star prospect will attend this weekend’s UGA-Tennessee game in Knoxville.
