Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp may not always win, but you can never question his passion for the game. His raw emotion was on full display Sunday night.
“I love the preparation of the week and then it hits on Saturday afternoon,” Muschamp told reporters on Sunday. “And you’re in that arena and you go out, you compete, you play. It’s modern-day gladiators, you know? It’s awesome.”
He wasn’t done.
“And you go out there and you go compete and lay your guts on the barbed wire for four quarters and see what happens. To be victorious in that locker room, there’s no feeling like that.”
All that was in response to a question about what it felt like to see his players smile in the locker room after the Tigers defeated Texas A&M on Saturday.
It seems like Muschamp is fired up to take on Georgia this weekend. The game kicks off at noon ET and will be televised on CBS.
