It’s no surprise that Bo Jackson’s nephew is enticed by the idea of playing his college ball on The Plains.
Shedrick Jackson, a 3-star WR prospect out of Hoover High School in Birmingham, Ala., released his top 5 on Wednesday afternoon via Twitter. Auburn is one of three SEC schools that made the cut along with Missouri and Mississippi State.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Jackson is being recruited by Auburn’s Rodney Garner and Kodi Burns and was offered by the Tigers in April. According to several outlets, Jackson is planning on attending Big Cat Weekend on June 3.
Last season, Jackson recorded 43 catches for 661 yards and 3 touchdowns for defending Class 7A champion Hoover, which defeated McGill-Toolen in December. Jackson had four receptions in a game that was played at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Jackson is rated as the No. 82 WR in the 2018 cycle and No. 16 player in the state of Alabama, according to the 247Sports composite ranking.
