AUBURN, Ala. — The brightest stars at Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday night won’t be those playing for Auburn and No. 2 Clemson.
Auburn’s most recent Heisman Trophy quarterback and defending NFL MVP Cam Newton arrived at Pat Dye Field on Saturday night about 90 minutes ahead of kickoff for the clash of the Tigers.
Newton came wearing the Auburn jersey of Bo Jackson, another former Heisman winner from the Plains, along with a shirt, hat and some shoes that perfectly embodied his unique signature style.

The two legendary Tigers met near midfield before Auburn’s 2016 team took the field for warmups and shared some laughs, as captured by Keith Niebuhr of 247Sports and Charles Goldberg of AuburnTigers.com:

You know, just Cam Newton and Bo Jackson at Jordan-Hare Stadium to cheer on Auburn pic.twitter.com/61lhV4IUnt

Newton will definitely be cheering for his former team along with Jackson on Saturday night, but he’ll also have an eye on Deshaun Watson, the Clemson star quarterback who is also a friend of the Carolina Panthers superstar.
