Auburn defensive lineman Carl Lawson will return on Saturday.
According to multiple reports, Lawson was announced as a starter before Saturday’s game against Ole Miss.
Lawson has been dealing with a hip injury he suffered during the first half of Auburn’s 31-24 victory over Louisville the first week of the season. He missed the entire 2014 season after recording 20 tackles and four sacks in 2013.
Lawson’s return will greatly benefit an embattled Auburn defense. The Tigers entered Saturday ranked 102nd in the nation with an average of 199.9 rushing yards allowed and ranked 97th in the country with just 11 sacks on the season.
