Auburn will be without one of its most dynamic defenders when it faces LSU tonight in Death Valley.
Defensive end Carl Lawson did not make the trip to Baton Rouge because he is still hampered by a hip flexor sustained in the team’s Week 1 game against Louisville, reports Brandon Marcello of AL.com.
Lawson, who recorded a sack, two tackles for loss and three QB hurries in the opener, missed all of last season because of a knee injury. The sophomore signed with Auburn as a highly-touted 5-star recruit out of Alpharetta, Ga., and recorded four sacks as a true freshman in 2013.
