Charles Barkley is well known for being able to trash talk, and he dropped a pretty great zinger on one of the colleges that recruited him on Thursday.
Barkley is part of Turner Sports’ studio crew during the NCAA Tournament. And the former Auburn Tiger had a hilarious line when it was time to talk about the first game of the day, Notre Dame-Princeton.
He said Notre Dame was one of his final two choices when he was picking where to go to play college basketball. And he said one thing was the deciding factor.
"For me, it came down to Notre Dame and Auburn. I was looking for a better education."

Notre Dame prides itself on its academic standards. So the comment probably won’t be well received in South Bend, Ind.
For what it’s worth, Barkley left Auburn after three years before finishing his degree. He still doesn’t have a college degree. However, he made millions over 16 seasons in the NBA. He averaged 22.1 points and 11.7 rebounds for his career an made the All-Star team 11 times.
A hall of fame forward, Barkley is probably a little upset that his alma mater isn’t playing in the postseason this year. The Fighting Irish, meanwhile, earned a No. 5 seed. But it was still a great line.
