College GameDay is Iron Bowl bound.
ESPN’s Saturday pregame show will broadcast live from Auburn’s campus prior to next week’s season finale Iron Bowl between Alabama and Auburn.
The news broke on Reddit on Saturday morning when tailgaters at Auburn received announcements from Auburn officials stating that College GameDay would be on the Plains next week and which tailgating areas would be affected.
Looks like @CollegeGameDay already told Auburn they're going to be at the #IronBowl (as expected); Auburn Facilities Management is handing out these flyers to tailgates that have to relocate (ht /u/J0000E) pic.twitter.com/qFAoglW91A

This year’s Iron Bowl will have enormous stakes and, barring a crazy upset today, will feature at minimum two top-6 teams in the College Football Playoff rankings. The Iron Bowl winner will clinch the SEC West title and advance to face Georgia the following week in the SEC Championship in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
An Alabama win would likely keep the Crimson Tide at No. 1 and eliminate Auburn from CFP contention, while an Auburn win would keep the Tigers’ championship hopes alive and force the Crimson Tide to wait on help from other games.
Alabama takes on Mercer today, and Auburn hosts Louisiana Monroe, with both games at noon. The Iron Bowl kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday on CBS.
