A former member of the Illini is headed to The Plains for his final season of college football.
Linebacker T.J. Neal is headed to Auburn and will be eligible to play immediately as a graduate transfer, he announced Tuesday.

The 235-pound linebacker will add depth to a unit that lost three senior linebackers, including two of its top-three tacklers in Cassanova McKinzy and Kris Frost. Tre Threat was previously the only linebacker the signed in Auburn’s 2016 class.
Neal ranked second on Illinois with 109 tackles, 14 for loss, and two sacks in 2015. The Pennsylvania native was originally a three-star recruit in the 2012 class.
