AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn’s record-setting kicker keeps setting records. Imagine that.
Daniel Carlson split the uprights with a 33-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to extend Auburn’s lead to 23-16. The make meant more than just giving the Tigers a one-touchdown lead. It also made Carlson the school’s all-time leader for made field goals with 61.
The 33-yard make put Carlson into the sole lead, moving ahead of Wes Byrum atop the program charts. He’s made 20-of-21 field goals this season. Reminder: He’s only a junior. Carlson also took control of sole second place on the school’s all-time scoring list.
