ESPN graphic: Auburn’s new QB Sean White is 200 years old
Auburn coach Gus Malzahn named redshirt freshman Sean White as the team’s new starting quarterback Tuesday.
White has never started a game for Auburn, but after seeing this ESPN graphic some people may have been trying to figure out if White is the new Benjamin Button.
A viewer captured a graphic of the new starter on ESPN that lists White’s age as 200 years old. In the movie, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, Brad Pitt plays a character that looks younger as he ages.
A good thing for Auburn fans is that it was just a typo. The Boca Raton, Fla., native is actually just 20 years old, but that would have been an interesting sight.
Could you imagine a 200-year-old person trying to escape a pass rush, or do anything on a football field, against Mississippi State on Saturday?
Auburn faces the Bulldogs at home in a vital conference game that starts at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
I have seen no less than 5 outlets (TV & print) telling us what we need to know about Sean White. ESPN says he's 200. pic.twitter.com/zDNAFLypzp
