Ben Davis may have named Alabama his leader on Sunday, but it’s Auburn that will host the five-star linebacker on his fifth and final official visit this upcoming weekend.
According to the Gordo, Ala., native, the Tigers will have an opportunity to leapfrog other contending schools.
“When I go there this weekend, I might like them, too, and they may jump into my front-runners, too,” said Davis, who plans to announce on Feb. 3.
“I’m just taking it slow right now and seeing which school I like the best.”
Davis, the No. 1 inside linebacker in the country, is coming off of an official visit to Alabama, where he spent time at Nick Saban’s house on Sunday morning. He was originally scheduled to visit Auburn on Jan. 22, but decided against it following an in-home visit with Alabama defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt last week.
He recently told SEC Country “it’s close” between the Crimson Tide and Georgia, with the Tigers right behind at No. 3.
