Former Auborn lineman Shon Coleman overcame a lot to reach his NFL dreams. He was a 5-star tackle from Mississippi and was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia shortly after he signed his national letter of intent to play for the Tigers.
He was taken by the Cleveland Browns in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft and now he’s using his experience as a cancer survivor to mentor fellow athletes like him who are diagnosed with cancer.
He even received his master’s degree from Auburn in 2015. Coleman and the athlete he has helped share their story below.
