Former Auburn QB during 20-13 loss to UGA: “Today, only our defense decided to show up”
t was a rough day for the Auburn faithful, as the Tigers fell to UGA 20-13 in the 119th installment of the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry.
Happy moments before the game quickly turned into frustration and disappointment. All of those feelings are captured below.
Here are some reactions from Auburn’s 20-13 loss to UGA:
The defense stepped up for the second consecutive week, as the Bulldogs were limited to 243 total yards. However, the offense and special teams did not follow suit.
The offense scored a touchdown on an opening 75-yard drive but accounted for just 200 yards of offense for the rest of the game. The special teams uncharacteristically gave up a punt return touchdown that broke a 10-10 fourth-quarter tie.
Former Auburn quarterback Brandon Cox summed up the performance.
All 3 phases have to play well to win a game. Today, only our defense decided to show up. #WDE

Former Auburn offensive lineman Chad Slade was frustrated with the Tigers passing attack, which ended the game with 62 yards.
But…… I guess I'm just use to running the ball since that's all we did and nobody couldn't stop it? oh well?

It wasn’t all bad for Auburn fans.
