Peyton Barber’s professional career got off to a bit of a slow start. But now, injuries are giving the former Auburn running back some opportunities.
Barber is starting for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Thursday night’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, the first start of his young NFL career. The former Tiger was signed by the Bucs as an undrafted free agent.
The Buccaneers will be starting their fourth different RB this season.

Barber has 16 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown so far this season, although most of those rushes came in a single game. He went for 84 yards on 12 carries, also scoring his first career TD, on Oct. 23 against the San Francisco 49ers.
In his final season at Auburn in 2015, Barber rushed for 1,017 yards and 13 touchdowns in 13 games.
