NFL MVP candidate Cam Newton has drawn a lot of attention this season, and for good reason.
His go-to touchdown celebration — “The Dab” — has been widely emulated throughout the nation.
On Sunday, during pregame warmups before the Carolina Panthers’ NFC Divisional Round tilt against the Seattle Seahawks, the former Auburn star rocked a long-sleeve shirt featuring a cartoon image of him doing “The Dab” along with his newborn son, Chosen Newton.
Newton has worn shirts featuring “The Dab” in the past, but seems to have made a special version of the shirt in light of his infant son. Chosen was born earlier this month, which has led Newton to make the necessary adjustments to his popular celebration-themed gear.
Between “The Dab” and the name “Chosen,” Newton has a lot working in his favor before Sunday’s playoff showdown.
Clearly, the dab has taken the country by storm, and Newton is one of the reasons why.
In December, Cam Newton’s little brother, Caylin Newton, celebrated a two-point conversion at the Rising Seniors all-star game with his version of “The Dab.”
