Now, he will play his football just up the road at FCS power Jacksonville State.

Rice, who is banned from Auburn’s campus until fall 2024 because of the findings from the investigation, was a 4-star signing by Gus Malzahn in the Class of 2016. He left the team because of “personal reasons,” following the second game of the 2016 season.
After being accused of first-degree rape, which he was never charged, the investigation committee determined the following, first reported by AL.com reporter James Crepea:
“Although [Rice] claims that he assumed he had affirmative consent, the investigators found that the [female accuser] explicitly told [Rice] she did not want to engage in vaginal intercourse,” according to the university’s Notice of Outcome letter provided to AL.com by a source who requested anonymity.
Rice had been enrolled at Mississippi Gulf Coast CC since his departure from Auburn.
