One rules analyst has had just about enough of Cam Newton complaining about calls.
Fox Sports’ Mike Pereira noted the ‘consistency of whining’ coming from Cam Newton regarding several calls. Pereira compared Newton and his calls to protection to the same thing he heard about Michael Vick and not getting calls.
Pereira noted that both were quarterbacks who could run and that their inability to slide is why they don’t get calls.
After Newton took a shot below the knees in Carolina’s win, Newton said he would be speaking Roger Goodell. Newton also added that he doesn’t feel safe out there.
Based on Pereira’s comments, he would like to see Newton complain and run the ball a little less.
